As you are looking over these vowel pronunciations, keep in mind that this is how you are going to pronounce these vowels in every situation. Spanish vowels each only have ONE sound, and this never changes. So practice these and you'll be sounding fluent in no time.
Notice that Spanish words sound just like they are spelled in practically every case. It might help to visualize the word. When you see accent marks above letters, it simply means that you should put the stress on that part of the word. Here is an example:

They are just spoken in a different accent. These words are called cognates. Reading these will be a great way for you to practice your pronunciation in Spanish.
You will be delighted to find out that in order to make a word plural in Spanish, all you have to do is add an "s" at the end of the word (just like you would do in English.)
